I just picked up Saving Capitalism by former Secretary of Labor, Robert Reich. I saw him speak last week at the Center for American Progress for his book tour, and by golly, I bought the book. He’s a funny guy and has some convincing points on how to address our growing inequality without totally trashing capitalism. He seemed very optimistic and refreshingly open to both sides of the argument. I’ll bring you some updates on how the book is coming and let you know my reactions to his thesis. Let’s see how this goes!
Can Robert Reich save capitalism?

Thanks for this post. I haven’t read the book, but my own views on economics and politics make me sympathetic to Reich. I am no socialist but keep the faith that capitalism can work better with the appropriate policies. Sometimes the way world events unfold causes me to question this ideal. I look forward to further posts on the book.
